Good Beer Guide selections

Worcester CAMRA branch nominates 24 pubs for entry to the Good Beer Guide every year

Packed with 4,500 of the best real ale pubs in the UK and information on every real ale brewery currently operating. Worcester CAMRA has 24 pubs to nominate annually. Worcester CAMRA uses the scoring system, survey trips, word of mouth and selections knockout rounds evening to select the 24 pubs. Due to the high standard of pubs in our area, we find there are really good pubs that don’t get into the good beer guide because of limited space.

Pub of the Year selections

Each branch nominates a pub of the year (POTY) for their area

Worcestershire is made up of 4 CAMRA branches: Worcester, Wyre Forest, Redditch and Bromsgrove, and Shakespeare. Pubs are then potentially nominated for Worcestershire POTY, West Midlands POTY or National POTY

Campaigning

CAMRA are always campaigning for good quality real ale, cider and perry in thriving pubs and clubs across every community

Secure an effective government support package for pubs
Encourage more people to try a range of real ales, ciders, and perries
To raise the profile of pub-going and increase the number of people using pubs regularly

Worcester Beer Festival

Well established with 2019 being the 20th festival year

Worcester CAMRA Beer, Cider and Perry Festival is held yearly in August, on the racecourse in the centre of Worcester City, conveniently sited for local and national public transport. The festival is organised and run entirely by volunteers. It’s a big festival and takes a lot of organising and a large staff to run it.

Worcester Pub Festival

In 2019 Worcester held it's very first Pub Festival which was a great success

The Worcester Pub Beer Festival will be held from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st March 2019.
