On the 29th of April the Worcester branch made presentations to two of our pubs which the members had voted as best in the branch for 2017.
The winner was an old favourite, the Plough in Worcester, which will go through to the regional round with the other Worcestershire winners. The Plough has won the award 3 times before and is a classic real ale venue with a great selection of local beers and ciders.

The second presentation was to a newer pub in our area, the Pickled Plum in Pershore – this pub has been fairly recently renovated in a smart but sympathetic style and features up to 6 each of real ales and ciders including the rare (for these parts) Dark Star Hophead. The Plum won the Runner-Up award which was a great achievement since it only entered the GBG last year.
Worcester CAMRA members outside the Pickled Plum present the award.
Worcester CAMRA members wish all the best to both pubs for the future and look forward to visiting them again soon.
